NASA has named its effort to return to the Moon and journey to Mars “Artemis.” Mythology tells us that Artemis was the sister of Apollo, the Goddess of the Moon, Goddess of the hunt. She was not the demur type needing to be rescued so I wanted to convey that strength and power in this design.
Behind Artemis is the Moon but as you can see she is looking forward and aiming her arrow (the SLS) towards the future.
